Manchester City Centre Management has commissioned Springboard's automated high street pedestrian monitoring service for a three year period.

Springboard, the UK's leading provider of electronic pedestrian monitoring in high streets and town centres, is implementing its service at a number of key locations throughout Manchester City Centre. The service will deliver hourly footfall counts, continuously - 24 hours a day - through Springboard's website (www.spring-board.info).

The service will provide Manchester with both an improved understanding of the extent of its ongoing regeneration, and an ability to evaluate the contribution that City Centre Management initiatives make to this. Springboard's service to Manchester City Centre Management also includes access to Springboard's Regional City Benchmark, which will enable the City to compare its performance with regional cities nationally so that it can fully understand trends in its performance.
